Catherine Deneuve (born October 1943), is an award-winning actress who has worked on over 100 films with the likes of directors Luis Buñuel and Roman Polanski.
The mother to Christian Vadim and Chiara Mastroianni, also actors, she has had relationships with film director Roger Vadim, actor Marcello Mastroianni, and Canal+ tycoon Pierre Lescure.
She was as a muse of the late designer Yves Saint Laurent, who dressed her in the films Belle de Jour (1967), La Chamade (1969), La sirène du Mississipi (1969), Un flic (1972), Liza/La Cagna (1972), and The Hunger (1983).
The 18th-century chateau is 47 miles/75 kms or 1 hour west of Paris near Houdan, Eure-et-Loire, on 18 hectares of the left bank of the Eure river.
The grounds were designed by famed Belgium landscaper Jacques Wirtz.
It is now available for US $5.5 million or €3.99 million.
